Top 10 TV shows from when I was wee!

I’ve been sort of lingering in this constant state of nostalgia lately and I thought I’d showcase the top ten shows I watched when I was growing up in New Brunswick/Ontario. I am still passionate about the fact that retro Canada had some of the best programming for children ever. [note: not ALL of these are Canadian shows] Here are a few of my favorites from the late 80s and 90s.

Ah, nostalgia!

Can’t touch this.

Okay okay.. one more! I am drooling over apartments today - mind you none of these are for sale and likely only exist for the rich and wealthy and incredibly lucky. This does not mean I can’t oogle them perversely and wish they were mine! It’s it wonderful? What I wouldn’t give to come home to this everyday.

Amazing.

I have sort of somewhat figured out a commenting system on my blog. I am torn right now as to whether or not I will move my blogging over to Wordpress [no idea how it works which is the only thing keeping me on Tumblr] I think I’ll use this for now and build on my layout a bit and see if I can’t make it work for me. I really enjoy how easy Tumblr is and how quickly I can post different things.

Party on.

Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

This is my life. It’s an endless routine and every eight months I get entirely sick of it. I have spent my life moving and trying new things and I am just not happy to sit in something for very long unless its the proper fit. I am currently looking for a new apartment - something more fit for my 23-year-old self. Something cleaner, less cluttered, less bachelor-basementish with less insects crawling around!

If only I could find something like this gem.. I mean honestly - how amazing is this apartment?

God, a girl can dream..

A blog is a blog is a blog is a blog.

I’ve been anxious to construct some sort of elaborate blog where I’d have it connect with my portfolio website and link all my online life together in this magical web. The reality is I haven’t finished building my portfolio website [I am not rushing into it - it’s a work in progress] and I really don’t want to branch out into other areas of my plan until I finish some sort of home base.

I’ve sort of been hunting on and off for something I felt comfortable enough using [In the past I’ve used Livejournal and Blogger - both were great but I feel I’ve outgrown them] I also tend to find a wide variety of media that I find interesting more often than I really have something to blog about. I decided to make another tumblr account [I have one that I use strictly for inspiration and pretty things. It’s sort of an online resource for myself where I throw images, songs, videos I find wonderful and lovely. You can follow it if you’d like! I linked it in the side.]

So here it is! I may change the layout to better suit my style in the future [this one I’m using is great though! It was designed by Andy Taylor. I dig it for now.]

Follow, don’t follow.. comment, reblog, love me.. whatever you want! Welcome to my blog :-)

This song is lovely.

This song is fantastic. The chorus reminds me of being six years old and learning to ride my bike sans training wheels on the tiny bump hill beside our blue and white house that stretched into the sky like an awkward castle. It reminds me of picking green leaf weevils off the birch tree in our front yard. It reminds me of picking blackberries with my mom in the forest. It reminds me of being a kid and finding jellyfish on the ocean beach of Eastern New Brunswick. The song might be about a couple in love - but I can relate it to so many aspects of my past and childhood that make me smile.
